Thread: Bat Mistake?

AUGH! I heard it announced on the radio this morning that they have cast Eddie Murphy to play The Riddler in the next Batman film! :shock:

Why? why? why? The man hasn't been funny since 1987 :wallbash: Does anyone else think this is a massive casting mistake?

Grrr I get all ranty when people mess about with things I like (nobody even get me started on my concerns over the 'Watchmen' movie).

Weeeeeeeeeell, the next Cat Woman might be a CD...........ME!!:excited:....................No, please, don't giggle, It might work. I mean, I don't look three bad when dressed and me gut pulled tight in and I rather fancy being all dressed in black leather or PVC and I can walk in high heels as well...................They will have to dub my voice though............A Scottish burr when saying "Hullo there Batman, ye awe right then Jimmy" just wont do I fear.

Or they could just put up subtitles? I was watching some american tv show where they were interviewing people on the streets of Washington and they interviewed 2 Scottish squaddies and put subtitles up to explain what they were saying!!! (They didn't even have thick accents they were perfectly understandable - I laughed so much I almost choked on my poptart.)

Im in total agreement with the Eddie Murphy thing...the guy is a complete 'humour free zone!!!'.......Grrrr.!!

Yup they still make them, thank the lord as I seem to live off the things You can only buy 2 flavours in supermarkets here though so I have to go to a special import candy store to get the good stuff mmmmmmmmm chocolate chip cookie dough poptarts :excited:

I know he totally is, I have no idea why they would cast him! :daft:

I mean, seriously?!!?!?

Last i heard before this though, was a rumour that one Mr Johnny Depp was being lined up for the role of The Riddler, so i mean there's still a glimmer of hope right? please?

i read in a film mag recently that there was a rumor that j depp was going to play the riddler! i think that perhaps the only way e murphy would play the part is if he were to play every character in the film
