    Default Arise Sir...

    Terry Pratchett!

My goodness isn't that exciting? I imagine poor old Bruce Forsythe isn't exactly too impressed but Sir Pratchett has done a lot of charity work so it's not entirely unexpected.

Pratchett said: "There are times when phrases such as 'totally astonished' just don't do the job.

"I am of course delighted and honoured and, needless to say, flabbergasted."

Hell yeah! Nice one for Mr P! A man whose use of words is always impeccable, even when making slightly inappropriate comments ...

Also awesome to see an intellectual being rewarded ^_^

    Bravo for sir terry,

There are some very worthy people on the new years list and some twats as well.
For example the woman who runs nelson job center was awarded.
went in the other day and they don't have phones anymore
cutting down on supposed public spending and depressing the throngs of unemployed in a backward two horsed town must be commendable.

I also hear she's great at rimming.
