Argh, moving houses!
Does everyone find moving houses as annoying as I do? OK, granted, maybe it's because muggins here is moving with the aid of National Express (plus another bus and a train), but I am finding it so very hard this time
.
Said my nearly-teary goodbyes to my old friends today, have spent the day sans sleep after a nightshift because I have things to pack, a room to clean, etc, and my landlady just reminded me that as I pay her rent 'after' the month, I owe her a month rent' (as well as paying rent for my new home), leaving me overdrawn and seriously skint next month :wallbash:.
On the positive side, my long-awaited move is tomorrow finally done, and I will be a permanent resident in Nottingham, hurrah :excited:! I am highly tempted to head here, too..WARNINGWarning: This is an Old Thread

I'm having a quiet panic at moving, and I have the leisurely method in place of renting temporarily while my other half stays here during the week for a few months. But still scary! I'm staying in denial until everything is signed off at work...

Indeed it is scary.
I was quite lucky and have been able to go to my new flat three times before this, and stayed over. The place does feel like home in that sense, but it is odd to think that 'this is it', and trying to fit all the rest of my belongings in my bags. I have just agonised over a half-empty bottle of shampoo and whether to take it or leave it behind

I cant wait to move. I just want to pack everything up and go. I'm stillon the neverending hunt for somewhere with 2/3 beds that I can hang the baby trapeze in even though I can't get on one at the moment because of my back.
I seem to spend every waking hour on gumtree. I dream of wooden floors and exposed beams!

Well, I finally managed to move. After one suitcase dropped to my toe later, I now have a room where I cannot find anything, a new city where I don't know anyone (apart from the more-off-than-on boyfriend
) and still have to sort out work as my old office can't say anything about how the transfer to the Nottingham one has gone. Still, I am quite pleased with it all :twothumbs:!
