Thread: Scary Snow related moments

I thought I would start a thread so we could share the scary moments we had today!

I was at Bank tube station on the DLR. We were just leaving the station and all was fine. As we started to move up a slight hill on the way to Shadwell the tube stopped suddently. We had only just left the underground bit. The driver then started to move again only he quickley started to go backwards instead of forwards! He slamed on his brakes and stopped. This carried on for a while forwards then slipping backwards.

In the end he decided to come to the back of the train and go back up the track to take a 'run' at the hill! This did not work and by that time I was just wanting to get off!

In the end he drove us back into Bank station.

I managed to get to work after 3 hours which normally takes 35 minutes!

Any scarer experiences?

Very scary - on another thread I said I thought I nearly found god again a couple of times on my way home... The big double decker bus was wheelspinning up a hill on the impacted snow, and sliding a bit on places. The main roads were OKish, but as with most buses, they go round the houses and through the estates. And of course most of the snow occurred after this morning's gritting.

I think the driver needed a medal, after he managed not to hit any parked cars.
