On a personal note I met a woman who was, at one point in her life a professional dominatrix. She stated that the job became a total headf:censored:k in the end so she moved on to another career. She also mentioned how being a professional Dom was risky because she could have been charged with assualt, ABH or GBH even though her sub had consented.
On a more humorous/less sidenote - there are 2 Angel LaVey's operating in the UK - one is Angel LaVey the Burlesque perfoirmer and the other is a Dominatrix.
My Angel LaVey is the Burlesque performer - however she has stated that she will be more than happy to dish out loads of pain to the first idiot who tries to equate Burlesque entertainment with being easy and ok with being groped by strangers.
