    Default Wacky Hair Day

My work are having a wacky hair day for comic relief on Friday, and I have no idea what to do. I've been dabbling with the idea of dying my hair a bright colour for the day.

I work in a nursery with 2-3 year olds so it needs to be something I can cope with, while changing nappies etc.

    Any suggestions would be fantastic.

    xx

Get a wig - they are pretty cheap!!! Saves the hassle of dying it and you can take it off to reveal 'you' if the little ones get upset by it (sounds strange but it can do!!).

Hmm I'm thinking you won't really want to add any accesories, as the littlies could pull them out... how about doing lots of little tiny buns? quick to do, you can leave the ends spikey, and it'l keep your hair out of the way?x x x

Yes, you don't want the kids (or their parents) to think you've got head-lice!!

Or just 'ponytails' in unusal places. Or lots of them. or something. Low maintenance, and limited equipment.

This wouldn't work for you Tara, as your hair's quite short, but it reminded me of it anyway. You know how schools often have non-uniform days for Comic Relief, and the teachers often dress in the uniform on those days? Well, my ma works in a school, so one year she had to do this. She plaited her hair into pigtails and I helped her make a wire hairpiece that threaded through the plaits, so she could bend them upwards in a cartoonish fashion. Looked ridiculous, but hey, that was the point, right?

oooo I like this idea, I might do that, plus the kids'll enjoy bending my hair. My hairs grown quite long now, so I might have a play and see what I can do.

I might have a perusal on google and see if I can find some websites with ideas etc.

    Thanks for the help!! xx
