    Default Screaming Teenage Girls

Sorry to have a rant, but i am feeling a bit delicate today, and i've been plagued by silly screaming girls all day!!

Is this just a Leicester thing? or does it happen everywhere?

All day, whether it be walking down the street, out on a fag break, in a cafe for my lunch, all i can hear is teenage girls screetching at top volume!!!!

GRRRRRR!! Why do they do it? Surely nothing can be that exciting in their young lives to scream that loudly, at that high pitch.
I understand that the next boy band is V. interesting to them, but i was that age once and i never felt the need to explode in public about it.

    What the hell?

Sorry to rant, but are these tits just attracted to me? or is this just an everyday grudge for everyone??

And can anyone shed any light on to why they do it???

Tee hee, its definately not just a Leicester thing! I hate going out in town when its half term or the school holidays, especially on weeknights, because my ears feel like they'll explode! Every single just-turned-18 gal is out, and while most are fine (aside from making me feel old), a fair few make me cross my legs all night to avoid going to the ladies and being deafened! Now, I know its exciting, but I can honestly say I wasn't that bad... Loud, probably (still am :P), but I didn't shatter glass... they must be missing some internal volume/pitch control!

Also, we have a Londis and Coop at the end of our street, so that corner attracts under agers trying to persuade people to buy booze for them... so pretty much every fri and sat night we have to walk through a gaggle of boys on mopeds the sound like hairdryers, and girls who are squeaking so high that dogs would cover their ears....

Maybe when boys voices drop a puberty, girls go higher? Maybe they think that if they shriek high enough, we can't hear them? Hmmmmm.........

    oh GOD I hate this!

From what I've noticed it seems to be more of an emo thing than a scally thing (there are only two main 'groups' that teenage girls fit into, round here at least. Everyone else is just a freak)... you can walk past any 'alternative' shops without someone launching themselves will full force and at full volume at their friend who they haven't seen in "like, five minutes".

Oh I just remembered, a few weeks ago I was out in town...was in the toilet and heard a load of the shriekers come in...and I actually heard the line "Oh my god, how've you been? I was worried cos you haven't been on facebook for ages!"

Same thing in Edinburgh - its definitely an EMO thing up here and is largely concentrated around the altie shops and streets.

Personally I prefered the goths, there may have been the "hand stapled to the forehead" thing going on, but at least it was quiet!

What you are all experiencing is the shrieking kid, only now it's an adult, well in body it is. Served it's apprenticeship annoying everyone in the supermarket, as it ran amok without parental control. Only one drastic solution I'm afraid.
We have a delightful member from Scotland, Edinburgh I think, name of Special Sundae. She can look over the top of her specs with a withering stare of pure napalm. Shuts them up at once. Wonder what she charges?
