Glasses!
I'm due for an eye test soon and I've had these frames a while.
So I decided to start a little game, to see how many pictures of pin up/ burly girlies in glasses we can find. That way I can see what types of frames suit the look and pick one for my face shape.
Plus, its fun to look at glamourous pictures
I'll start with Micheline Pitt:

Here's mine - I get my eyes tested again in May, and this time I have vintage frames ready for action! In fact, I bought them last year. I'm really bored of the small rectangular frames that are everywhere.

Yours look lovely!
I'd like some of the ones that Marilyn is wearing, cats eye, but bigger and rounder, I think they would suit me better.

Ok, check it out.... DEAD MEN'S SPEX - Home
They're very good. They have a stall at Hemsby, too - and they can put the lenses in for you. I got some from them a couple of years ago and went to *a high st optician* to get the lenses put in and the woman serving me was the most rude, patronising cow I've ever encountered in a shop where I was about to spend money. She clearly thought my frames were ridiculous, and openly mocked them. So I went to a different shop where they were very nice and helpful.

They're the same ebay sellers I was looking to get mine from!
Oh I'm glad that they have your approval. I was a bit worried about getting some cheap plastic things.
Did you complain about the woman in the optician? Luckily my local Specsavers staff are all very nice and one of them is slightly retro-inspired herself. I had my hair in a curl and she kept saying she didn't want to make me lean forward onto the forehead rest in case she ruined it! :lol:Snowflakes and Sparkles

i got my glasses from dead men's spex and they're brilliant! Really quick service and they put your prescription in too!
Make sure you check the measurements as, i'm sure you know, it's important that your eyes sit in the middle of the lenses and that they're not to wide / narrow across the bridge.
Great selection though and really cheap compared to alot of high street frames.
