My biggest fangirl squees go out to Junko Mizuno and Ross Campbell. The both do comics and are amazing! I love anyone who draws cute booty girls!
If I met Ross Campbell I would pay him all my money to do a picture of me and Junko Mizuno's artwork is the basis for my arm tattoo.

    Lookee I post pictures

Maybe we should see when they (or Turisas or other vaguely related Scandinavian band) are touring the UK and see if they fancy having a burlesque revue added into the mix . . . :eyebrows: :excited: :excited:
Now now, there is an idea. Love you ladies.

    Oooh maannn...

I have a huge appreciation/borderline slightly obsessive crush on Derren Brown. He's just massively intelligent, an amazing artist, a great showman and to top it all off, there's just something a bit sexy about him.

I also love Jason Lee. Back in the day when I was a little pre-teen skater he was my complete idol. And not to mention the fact that he was in so many Kevin Smith films. I've been a bit disillusioned by him lately, what with the whole scientology thing. Still love him though!

Banksy is also an idol of mine. He's just very very clever.. and can paint a bit too ;-)

    Just a quick question:

Have you ever met him in person, and if so, are you sure you loved him so much before he started talking to you and you mysteriously "decided" to give him all your money and develop an obsessive crush.......... :eyebrows:

There are far too many to name them all, but my ultimate crush has to be Adam Ant. I just think he is so talented, was so ahead of his time, and absolutely epitomised male beauty in his hayday. I also think he is one of the greatest burlesque stars ever. And I have a huge amount of respedt for his openness in talking about his mental illness. In fact I love him so much that I still would even in his diminished state.

A few others: John Wesley Harding/Wesley Stace (folk-pop troubadour and author extraordinaire), Spike from BtVS (but NOT James Marsters who plays the character), Jarvis Cocker, Jake Schillingford (frontman for My Life Story in the 90s and latterly ExileInside), Laurence Llewellyn-Bown (so talented and so nice and surprisingly down to earth the time I met him), Russell Brand, Noel Fielding from the Mighty Boosh (I did actually stalk him in an embarassingly ineffective way back when he used to appear in tiny Fringe venues).

And weirdly, I have this thing for Richard Holloway, the former bishop of Edinburgh. He's old enough to be my grandfather but he has such a beautiful mind that every time I have met him I am immediately transformed into a giggling, blushing teenage girl. Quite embarassing the time this happened in front of my parents!

And in the burlesque world, I kind of love Gypsy Charms, I offered to have Fancy Chance's children, and I am an officially sanctioned stalker of Chris JS Wilson of the Kitsch Kats, who is too pretty to be true but also suprisingly sweet about my slavering fangirl antics.

Haha! I was contemplating that myself, never having met him, but there being the possibility of some trans-telivisual psychology going on there?

If anyone could do it I'm sure it'd be him!

hee hee.. .do you know Elbow & Imelda May were on Jools Holland and the Meteor Awards together? (youtube them!) and remain good friends, I think they're hoping to work together in the future since previous commitments meant Imelda couldn't support them on tour as planned.
I think you should hang out with us!

I'm getting increasingly obsessed with the X-Men, as my Twitter updates have been boring people with. I've just got my hands on the animated series and am reliving my childhood/pre-teenhood. Combine it with sleep deprivation and sugar highs (to counteract sleep deprivation) and there has been much squeeing from the vicinity of Maison du Mal recently ...
