Thread: Who are you a fangirl/boy for? (Squees ahead!)

Inspired by El Kapitan's post about Faith No More, I'd like to ask:

Who are you a total fangirl/boy for?

I'm a fan of quite a few bands and people, but my main fangirl squees go towards Darren Hayes.



I was a fan of his ever since Savage Garden days in 1997/8. OMG I loved him sooooo much, I once slept with a SG poster in my bed which led my mum to wryly remark "You're ready for boys now." :P

I got to watch them as SG once in Malaysia in 2000, then never again, and for a long time I thought I was cursed or something. Everytime I tried to get to see him either he cancels or something falls apart! Then before I moved to Australia for uni I hear he's doing a major concert in the Sydney Opera House, so I get my parents to let me fly in a bit earlier to watch the concert! (I had a relative that was getting married a few days before that in Sydney so there was another excuse!)

And now I've seen him another 2-3 times since. SO MUCH FUN. His latest album is a blast - I didn't get it the first time I heard it, but then I saw him perform it live on the Time Machine Tour and OMG SO GOOD. It's a THEATRICAL experience du jour.

I have a sorta-routine to Chained To You that I performed for my class once - it was something I'd made up as a teen as a cheerleading routine!! I've got ideas for some of his other songs, and I'm hoping he does more burlesque-friendly songs soon. Darren Hayes is such a ham, I think he'd actually be great in a burlesque show. *swoon* I'd be his merch girl!!

hahaha! i was never a fan of savage gardens music but, i used to fancy the pants of darren hayes i was pretty gutted when i found out he was gay. when i was a kid i was obsessed with kylie and jason too lol! although i never fancied jason but had a cute little girl crush on kylie lol - and i wonder why my mum thinks i'm a secret lesbian!

i'm a total angelina fangirl to the extent where i want to scream at people if they even dare to criticise her lol! i was deffo a team jolie girl when the whole brad pitt and jenifer anniston split happened!

wouldn't say i was a fangirl of any burlesque performers, obviously there are ones that i really admire and respect but i'm not a freaky stalker or anything lol!

I once got my hair cut and coloured in the same salon as Darren Hayes in Sydney - we sat next to each other at the basins whilst the hairdressers rinsed our heads!
Unfortunately, I was unaware of who he was until my friend told me.

I hate how everyone's always slating her for her age and her surgery, they'd soon be complaining if she hadn't had the surgery and she was covered in wrinkles!
Everyone says she should give it up but that's just it she's making a point by being the longest working female artist.

i have too many crushes when i was at uni it was Brian molko from placebo mmm i loved them and saw them about 4 times and my latest one was probably Gerard way

I also adore gwen stafani, no doubt have always been my favourite band and i loved her solo stuff too

Marilyn Monroe - I find her life story fascinating, wonderful, sad; I am a big fan.

Holly Willoughby - I think she's naturally very beautiful and she always seems so
down to earth and nice.

Dylan Moran - My favourite comedian; I think he's a genius...and gorgeous of course!

Hugh Jackman - one word = Wolverine

Keane - My favourite band. I don't care How much they get slated, I think they are
great.

Elbow - My other favourite band; they are amazing live and their songs are beautiful
