making friends?
hey everyone, people on here always seem to give out good advice so thought I'd ask if anyone has any!
I finished university last year and since then pretty much all of the friends i made have moved back home/down to london, I still stay in touch with them but I'm struggling to make new friends locally..I freelance so dont tend to work with the same people for very long and have tried going to events and stuff by myself but I'm quite shy and find it hard to get talking to people who are already in groups of friends. I have a lovely boyfriend so I'm not lonely really, just miss girly time!
Just wondered if anyone could identify or had any advice?

nottingham trent, I like it here and have contacts for work so thats good, my closest friend is still here but she's just started going out with someone new and spends a lot of time with him, which i'm happy for her about but has made me suddenly realise that I had ended up relying on her too much for going out and girly chats..

Hi honey. I had the same thing when I moved after Uni. Best advice I can give is get out there and try stuff. Go to anything that interests you and talk to people. Keep an eye out for anything and everything.

you will have a fab time. Though try and save some money if you can for freshers week, i didnt save enough and i had to get a job at the end of october!!
You will want to know about this place then...ok i was going to put the web address but apparently I haven't made enough posts yet!! Type 'bodega social' into google and its the first web address that comes up.
they host the pitty pat club once monthly, really good event, last one i went to had missy malone and cherry deville.
