Thread: Showreel Help please!

Ok so i have spent most of today either sewing or making this showreel...

Can you let me know what you think please?

any things that you can suggest to make it better?

I would have put in Video footage but ive been waiting months now for the video files from the videographer and no response so ive given up on that!

Grrr! Don't you hate it when you don't get things back.

I don't know if it's the video or my computer, but it kept stopping. It got really bad so I had to stop it. Hopefully that's just my computer being silly.

From what I could tell it looked good though

It's not a bad little animation, but I don't think pics 5 and 10 are very flattering, I'd be tempted to get rid of them and either replace them, or leave each of the other pics up for longer (just personal opinion though). Also perhaps just slightly slow down the credits at the end but not by much, they just seem slightly rushed, rather like the speeded up credits they often have when movies get shown on TV.

December - i think it takes a lot of system power to not jump...mine did that when i had a few apps open! but yes ive been asking since march for these vids, several times and nada! i got a you tube link but i cant upload to any sites from that and im completely at his mercy not to remove them!!

White knight - pic 5 i completely get...pic 10 - my fiance didnt understand why i used it either but i wanted to show i had some expression! lol but yeah it aint flattering lol!!

im having to work on the music and change it to a different track seen as the eminem song isnt allowed on you tube, facebook, myspace etc.... so im gonna use a slightly longer song which will allow me to slow the credits down....(its times itself to the end of the tune) - its a shame coz i thought that tune was hilarious in an ironic way about my bum!!

I have crap internet connection so can only play about 5 seconds before it crashes on me

Exactly December thats what i wanted to show!!

Ginger - I used Windows Movie Maker it came with my microsoft office package....... quite easy to use actually!!! just click and drag the pics in order , how you want them to change, any effect and then just import the track.... and finish...showreel!

i have had to end up with a silent one as every song i tried to use it came back as copyright possible infringent....

but the one i will be sending over to promoters etc will have music on....

the final one is on my signature and its smaller file so should upload fine!
