By The Power Of One Thousand Baboons, Ministry Of Burlesque Adopts A Monkey!
It brings me great pleasure to announce that as of today (16 June 2009), Ministry Of Burlesque now has it's very own monkey! The adoption of Cornelius, has quite literally turned the MoB Baboon Hyperdrive up to eleven and means that (apart from Trixie Little and her Evil Hate Monkey), we are now the first people in the burlesque world to have our own simian chum.
But here's the scoop...
... IT'S NOT JUST OUR MONKEY! (despite Kittie and I having to munch through THREE whole boxes of Kelloggs Coco Pops in order to collect the required monkey tokens)...
... IT'S A COMMUNITY MONKEY! Yes, you read that correctly. YOU NOW OWN A MONKEY TOO! Cornelius is to be a monkey of the people! We've even setup an email address for him at munky@ministryofburlesque.com - and he will write back to you!
I'm not too sure when Cornelius will be delivered to us, but I've already found a big plastic tupperware container to keep him in (and don't worry, I've made some airholes in the lid) and made him a little bed using a normal-sized pillow as a mattress and a very small pillow as a normal-sized monkey pillow. We're eagerly awaiting his arrival.
Personally speaking, my monkey senses are on total overload right now because Ministry Of Burlesque has done it's bit to remove the glass ceiling for non-human primates in burlesque...
Monkeys... brilliant!

Did anyone see the documentary on channel four the other night on couples in America that had monkeys. It was pretty cool except for the woman who fed her monkey nothing but sugar and just wanted a permanent little girl to look after. Still want one even if they would rip my house apart.
Thanks for the virtual monkey James and Kittie

OMG, our house is full of monkeys including a GIANT cuddly one which I have relegated to the spare bedroom as it takes up too much space otherwise! And a sock money named Flash Pontefract. Between the monkeys and the techiness, sounds like you and he would get on very well indeed!
Actually my first thought when I saw this thread was that I will have to show it to my partner, he will heartily approve.Unleash your inner vixen with Queen Bea accessories!

So what happens after 16th December? If you haven't been looking after it properly do they come and take it away? Or does it spontaniously combust? I wonder if any other pets come with an expiration date!
