oh that's swell! best of luck!
i have long wanted to take it up, but always suspected i was rather too tall and heavy for such things, until a few weeks ago when a strong man convinced me otherwise. so maybe i will get into it soon. any particular place you would recommend?

Thanks

The competition is for a corporate ballroom dancing competition through my work
When the tutors were going through the various dances they earmarked myself and my partner for the jive haha. Don't have to pay for the classes either hurrah!
My previous classes were with Le Roc Scotland at Dance Base and I managed to get pretty good after a term of classes. Not sure of any classes in Glasgow!Hettie Heartache - www.hettieheartache.co.uk ~ www.facebook.com/hettieheartache

I used to and I loved it! It was my favourite of all the Latin dances.
I keep meaning to take it up again but never get round to it

I do smooth jive, a variation on modern jive and absolutely love it! Afraid I don't know of anything in your direction though.Good luck with the competition honey xx

After a few glasses of wine I think I can (note to self: not a good idea with a sprained ankle!! Rock'n'roll jive that is, not ceroc. Used to lindy as well but I prefer jive, even if it does make me a bit giddy!
I think the best way is just to practice and hope men take pity and teach you!
