It looks like I'm moving...
Well, anyone who's been following my sporadic rantings on twitter will probably already know this, but after 'interesting times' on the job front recently I have since been offered a top toppest job with a unique office and a fab bunch of people. (I wasn't going to post this until I had the proper offer letter in my hand, but what the hell... I currently know about the job offer, but not how much they plan to pay me. Which is the big #No.2 fact you want to know... Am not a patient person! Gaaah!)
So assuming the salary's enough to live on, it looks like I'm moving. And I leave Birmingham with a heavy heart. I moved here 10 years ago for work, found that I like it, have had a hoot and met some marvellous people, not least because the West Midlands is the centre of the UK Burlesque universe. Oh yes it is. Cos I said so. Stop arguing at the back.
Not going until late Sept, so hope to make a few events before then. I will be only 90 miles away and back for visits, but I will miss a lot of stuff, and will miss a lot of people even more - especially since I havn't known you for that long!
In the meantime, is there anyone here in the Aylesbury/Milton Keynes neck of the woods? Much on? or do you all go to the Big Smoke for your kicks?

Well Miss D,
I have as yet been unable to find much going on in the immediate Aylesbury/Mk area, with however a few things seem to be happening within an hours travel...
Vivid Soda is held bi-monthly in Northampton, A new night in Bedford happened last month the 'Bedford Burlesque' and looks set to return and I have heard rumours about a night in Dunstable starting soon. So there are a few things going on. If you like reinactments there seems to be 1940's events running out of Bletchley Park (next to MK). And tomorrow 99p land opens in Leighton Buzzard, I will be able to attend this one!
If you fancied a partner in crime or a car buddy please look me up!
Love from mama XXX

That's fab, thankyou. I will indeed.
I'll be in sunny Brum for the rest of the summer, moving down later in september. But once I have my bearings, I'll be in touch. It'll be great to put a 'person' to a name. I'm looking forward to it.
