Secret Santa - what is it?

Traditionally members of a group are randomly assigned other members to whom they anonymously give a gift. Often practiced in workplaces, or amongst large families, participation in it is usually voluntary.

It offers a way for many people to give and receive a gift at low cost to those involved and most importantly....ITS FUN!!!!

The rules (sorry there has to be some)

1. To participate you must have posted at least 50 times on the MOB

2. You must purchase a gift (approx value of £10), wrap it and send it to your recipient (details to be provided at a later date) no later than 5th December 2009 by First Class Post (obtaining proof of delivery) If your person is overseas, please send it out as early as possible as it takes longer to get there.

3. You must provide me with your contact details including real name, contact address, email details & telephone number on joining the Secret Santab swap. Please note you will not be assigned to another swappee until all your personal details have been received.

4. To add a bit of additional fun.....each participant will need to write a letter to their own personal Secret Santa and email it to me (details to be provided upon sign up to the SS) The letter should include approx 5 items that you would like to receive from your Santa and reasons as to why you have been a good girl/boy this year (or a naughty girl/boy!)

5. Upon receipt of your gift, you are required to post in this thread stating that you have received your gift.

This Secret Santa is open to anyone who wants to take part (as long as you meet the above requirements).

It has always been very good fun in the past and we have all had a giggle at some of the gifts people have recieved.

I hope this year will be as good as previous years.

Please keep an eye on this tread if you are taking part as more information, reminders and so on will be posted hear between now and Christmas Day.

SO excited about this!

I may be being a bit dim though (so many excuses, so little time!); who do we send the letter to, as in physically? DO we send it snail mail to Snowflakes and Sparkles Santa or do we email it?
