Burlesque parents?
I was just wondering how many burlesque performers are parents? and what your childrens views are on you performing? if they are old enough to have an opinion.

There's quite a lot of us actually.
My kids are 12 and 7 and love that I'm a burlesque performer, they have great fun with me building props and I get lots of costume advice from the eldest. My youngest thinks she also helps me learn dance moves - we have great fun crumping together though I'm not convinced that will ever see it's way into an act
I know it's not for everyone, but for me having secrets implies there's something not right about something, that there's a reason that it might need hiding. And I'm not apologetic in any way about being a burlesque performer, so nothing is kept secret - it's me and burlesque saved my life, so love me, love my burlesque.

I have a 19 year old daughter and 8 year old twins.
I keep my burlesque a secret from them as it's actually quite fun having a secret double life *wink*
