    Default Aberdeen Scene?

    Hi All,

I'm new to this community, so thought I'd introduce myself. Hi, I'm Cupid Stunt
Does anyone know if there's still a Burlesque Scene in Aberdeen? It used to be at Club Sapphire, but the last show I saw there was last August and there hasn't been news of any since. I've been trying to generate interest over here again, but no luck yet

    Cheers

Hey there! I used to live in Aberdeen myself. I know that Creme De La Cremation and Malady De Winter of Club Sapphire fame are both on this board, so I'm sure one of them will be able to help. In fact I remember Creme mentioning something about a burlesque in Union Square at Vera Moda(?). Club Sapphire was a little gem (excuse the pun) when I used to live there, it'd be sad to hear it wasn't still like that, but I guess these things happen!

Cool, I'll message them. I went to quite a few of their shows a couple of years back. I think I know where Vero Moda is, I know Union Square anyway Sadly Sapphire closed, it's Malone's or something now It was fantastic when it was open, a lot of my friends performed there... Hopefully it'll reopen one day. Thanks for the info xxx

Hey there - it's good to know there's still interest up here Yes, Club Sapphire has closed down now. So has Peepshow Creepshow, me and Creme's night. There is still hope though: I think Creme's doing something in the shopping center but not sure of details as am in Serbia so ask her. There's a Peepshow Freakshow (this is a mix of us and some ace carnival performers) at Cellar 35 later in the year (will post details when back home). Plus the charity 'The Hero Next Door' will probably run one before the end of the year. Then there's talk of a rollerderby fundraiser and an Obedience School where there's always a nice helping of burlesque.

So... Nothing set in stone and nothing regular but there should be something on every month or so.
