Those of you who know me will know that I never gush about burlesque nights and that it's often a scary thing to ask me my opinion.

    But...

What an excellent night! That was the first burlesque show I've attended in a long, long time where every act was perfectly placed, the compere had the audience eating out of her hand and the atsmosphere was rockin'!

Well done to Daiquiri for pulling together what I expect will be a jewel in the burlesque night scene in Scotland as well as performing two gorgeous rock 'n' roll acts herself.

Congrats also to Miss Helle's Belle and Vendetta Vain for reminding the audience that burlesque is about beauty and poise as well as concept and humour. Take note, aspiring burlesquers: that's how it's done.

And I know people will say I'm biased but Lucille is definitely the second-best compere on the Scottish scene.

My three favorite Scottish performers and my favorite compere who isn't me in a great wee venue and a brilliant set from the DJ!

I will most certainly be awaiting announcement of the next Looks That Kill.

Might even leave the car at home next time!

I am absolutely devastated that I couldn't make this! It sounds like the perfect combination of petal and metal! I knew I shouldn't even have checked this thread because it's full of people talking about how great a night I missed! Darn and blast!

Well done to Daquiri for throwing one of the best nights out I never had!

I'll do everything in my power to be at the next one!

I really wanted to come to this night, but gutted, I'm revising for my exams.

Next time maybe? I'll sit in the front cheering and whooping!

I am glad it was so fantastic, lots of amazing compliments!

    Love
