central scotland living history show
hi guys just in case its not just me that is history potty and if you are looking for a good day out in july...
my hubby and i are involve in the running of a living history show in july, 10th and 11th, based in Harthill which is right on the M8 between glasgow and edinburgh, we are dealing with the ww2 side of things although i beleive that someone else has the remit to deal with other periods of history, but dont quote me on it...
there will be static displays, including a historically accurate purpose built trench system comprising bunkers and approx 85m of trench, music, stalls, displays of close-combat training by our reenactor commandos, a ww2 battle each day with heavy armour taking part, swing dance displays, and a very lovely forties hairstylist bringing that touch of glamour to the proceedings...theres probably loads more as well but im suffering nfo overload at the mo, having just come from a business meeting with the site owners/organisers...it is the first event of its kind hosted by this team and they are looking to hopefully continue it into the future as a permanent event...
so if youd like more details shout up folks and i will do my best...i will post up a flyer as and when i get one...should be a good one!!!!!!WARNINGWarning: This is an Old Thread
