Tom Lehrer goes burlesque - what an idea! After all, burlesque is all about parody, as any fule kno. And how much fun to be had with 'I hold your hand in mine, dear', and 'She's my gal'. Is anyone else on here old enough to remember the cartoon 'Tom Foolery' in the early '70s ?

Ha. That's funny. great minds think alike. We did used this song for
the curtain call for the last voodoo rooms show. 'Springtime Follies'.

I knew this song already and was introduced to more tom lehrer stuff
by Lilly de Lure. His songs are great! 'vatican rag' sticks out in my mind.

I must say I couldnt find the backing track for this for love nor money.
Did you get it recorded specially. it sounds good.

I actually already have a Tomfoolery cabaret in the pipeline. A selection of Lehrer and Sondheim numbers and appropriate variety acts.

In answer to Capt. Anchor: I source some backing tracks and have others specially recorded. All
my Lehrer tracks are the latter.
