Quick update for y'all; I am delighted to say that The Creative Martyrs, hot from their critically acclaimed run at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, are now on the line-up.

So for your meagre 5 quid - assuming you have booked in advance, online, at www.gormanband.com, and I would encourage you to do so - you are getting TWELVE of Scotland's brighest and best burlesque & cabaret stars. That's right, TWELVE! Come on people, you know it would be rude not to. So visit www.gormanband.com and click on the Big in Japan logo to book now and avoid disappointment.

A limited amount of tickets will be available to buy on the door for £6.

And, as if a fantastic Friday night's entertainment was not enough there will be some glamourous and exciting prizes to be won. Come along and you could get your mitts on Dr Sketchy Glasgow tickets, Gorman merchandise, gift vouchers for the Art Store and gorgeous burlesque attire and treats. Stunning raffle goodies are up for grabs from likes of...

Mairi Brunning - beautiful fascinators and textiles
Le Hat Noir - fanciful millinery
The Dresser's Room - Glasgow's premier vintage boutique
Freya V Midnight - handmade and bespoke jewellery
Emmeline Couture - bespoke ladies couture

So please do get booking and if you can find the time, share the event to your pals on Facebook. Encourage them to come along, get dressed up and have an awesome night out in the opulent surroundings of the Glasgow Art Club.

If you want to spread the word on Twitter then don't forget to follow Gorman - @gormanband

All money raised by this event goes towards helping Gorman achieve success at Japan Music Week in Tokyo this November. At present they are the only band representing Scotland at this international music conference so it really is a fantastic opportunity.

As we enter into a time of severe austerity for the arts, performers and artists are under pressure more than ever to be creative and pro-active with their fundraising endeavours. Your contribution by simply buying a bargain-price ticket for this event and turning up and having an awesome time, or by spreading the word to as many people as you can, is incredibly valuable so on behalf of Gorman and the whole Japan team, I thank you in advance!

Looking forward to seeing you there.

    Massive cheers and love,

    Lucille

With still a fortnight to go the £5 advance tickets for this event are moving really quite quickly, there are still some left but if you want to take advantage of the £5 online offer then best to get in there quick.

A limited number of £6 tickets will be available on the door.

Log on to Gorman and click on the Big in Japan logo to book.

Why not also join the Facebook event and let us know you will be there! Looking forward to it, see you there. Welcome to Facebook

RwP should shortly be announcing a new programme of events in the venue. A new cabaret and a couple of other exciting projects!
