...and more besides. Taking the lead from the delectable Miss Hells Belle I thought I would post a few highlights from the 2011 Glasgow Cabaret Festival programme.

The full programme is available online at www.glasgowcabaretfestival.com - we are confident that there is something for everyone.

And don't forget about The One O'Clock Club. When the shows in the main programme finish and leave you gasping for more, The One O'Clock Club is where the true spirit of cabaret comes alive with anarchic performances, music and cocktails every night throughout the Festival at Nude on Ashton Lane until 1am.

Once Bitten - Saturday 8th October at The Cottiers Theatre at 7.30pm

Roll up, roll up! Hear the bands discordant waltz; See the clowns cry crocodile tears and the strong-man gorge himself on forbidden flesh in this twisted circus of humanity. The sequinned lady stands mute as flying knives pin her in place whilst cutting her loose from her desire to please.

Once Bitten introduces Desmond OConnor, Zoie Kennedy, Juliette Jeanclaude and a team of gifted musicians in a new theatre cabaret piece that explores the desire to lay oneself bare on stage whilst hiding behind the manifold masks of the entertainer.

Presented by Twice Shy Theatre and O'Connor Ents, a world premiere for the Glasgow Cabaret Festival.

Tickets: £10/£8 conc.
SPECIAL OFFER: Once Bitten ticket holders will receive free admittance to the All Stripped Down Late-Night Burlesque Revue at The One O'Clock Club (Nude, Ashton Lane) that very same evening!

Frisky & Mannish: Pop Centre Plus - 14th & 15th October at The Arches at 7.30pm

Phil McIntyre Entertainments and The Glasgow Cabaret Festival present...

Everyone wants a career in pop, and if The Saturdays can do it, then, by God, so can you.

After rigorous education at the School of Pop (Fringe sell-out smash 2009), and intellectual training during The College Years (further selling-out and smashing in 2010), it's time to move out of your parents' house and get a f**king job.

Everything you need is at F&M's Pop Centre Plus.

"Such glittering panache" (Telegraph). "Gold-star masterclass" (Mail on Sunday). "A force of nature" (Western Australian). ***** (Chortle.co.uk). ***** (Edinburgh Evening News). ***** (Daily Mail). ***** (Time Out).

2 Shows due to popular demand! Friday 14th & Saturday 15th October

Ray Guns Look Real Enough present Balls Deep - Monday 10th October at The Glasgow Art Club at 8.00pm

Rayguns look Real Enough were the band of a generation, riding the crest of a Rock n' Roll wave, the next big thing. Now one of them thinks he's a cat!

With no record deal, tour dates or legion of staff, Ray and Luke find themselves trawling the cabaret and comedy scenes looking for another bite of the fame cherry. On the way they deliver over 100 songs in their unique mash up style (including a fully interactive rap battle), alongside the touching and hilarious story of one man's struggle with his inner tiger.

Rayguns Look Real Enough take the best bits from classic pop and rock songs and fuse them together to make new mixes using only an acoustic guitar, vocals, percussion and the world's only set of invisible panpipes.

All this is presented with the bravado and peacock strutting of a stadium rock show crammed into the space the size of a hatchback.

"They rock the house, we love them" - Timeout

"Gloriously entertaining" - Chortle

"Insanely creative" ***** - Hairline

"Genuis" - Chesney Hawkes

Tickets: £7/£5 conc.

All Stripped Down (the best of Scottish burlesque) - Saturday 8th October

Kicking off the 2011 Glasgow Cabaret Festival with a bit of decadent glamour are the finest Burlesque artistes performing in Scotland today.

Burlesque represents the bawdier and glitzier side of cabaret and this late night revue invites you to dress-up, glam-up and lose yourself in sequinned fantasy of a by gone era.

We recommend gin martinis and leaving your inhibitions at the door.

Line-Up includes...
Cherry Loco, Miss Hells Belle, Vendetta Vain, Leyla Rose, Daiquiri Dusk

DJ until lateTickets: £5 on the door or free entry for Once Bitten ticket holders and VIP badge holders.

Hope to see you all there!
