I've just been to my first Dr Sketchy and it was wonderful! Such an easy going relaxed afternoon.

It was more art class than burlesque show, everyone was there for drawing and enjoying the light hearted banter (rather than a big pissed up night out in a corset like you often find). I recognised a few "usual suspects" from the local art scene - it was good to see that this is a crossover area that links the art world with the burlesque world.

It was great to see Beatrix Von Bourbon again, so glad that Lucille & Rufus brought her all the way from "Eng-Er-Land" to be with us. Great atmosphere and I actually really enjoyed doing my (incredibly rubbish) doodles!

    Aye... what she said!

I had the extra fun of joining the gang for fun and games (and drinking in most cases) after the show too! Disappointed that we didn't end up playing Twister in the end (I had my camera as well!!).

There's a video of Beatrix at Dr. Sketchy here - Mature Content | Veoh Video Network - and photos on my Facebook (and yes Emma - THAT one is up there!).
