The Edinburgh Festival 2008 Thread!
Following on from Twinkle's post in Chat and Rufus' suggestion, post here when you will be at Edinburgh; where you are performing/working and maybe just maybe we could all get our act together for a meet up?!
To make things a little easier to organise, it would be awesome if you could list dates at the bottom of your post?
Hope to see some friendly MOB faces, this will be my tenth sojourn to the Edinburgh Festival from doing street theatre to street teaming so yeah, if you haven't been before expect an awesome awesome time!
xx

Excellent idea for a thread!
Rhymes with Purple will be at the Fringe on various dates - we won't be there for the full run as we take every other year off and this is the off year.
Sun 3rd - Bongo Club for their legendary cabaret produced by Wild Card Kitty and hosted by Des O'Connor.
Mon 4th - in Glasgow to run Fire Performance Workshops
7th,8th & 9th - High Tease at The Voodoo Rooms.
10th - Back in Glasgow for Dr Sketchy's Birthday Bash!
11th - another fire workshop in Glasgow
We'll be through seeing La Clique and lots of comedy as well as a couple of plays that we like the look of - and we'll no doubt take a chance and go see some random shows, too.

Ahh Amelie, I didn't realise you were doing Sketchy - I look forward to meeting you! Incidentally, just how many more folk can Rufus and Lucille squeeze into one event? I love that it's becoming a total Who's Who of Burlesque!! My stage managing might go to pot because I'll be so excited (not really guys... please don't fire me! *laughs*)
I really want to go through to see Bongo and High Tease and La Clique. I am just not organised enough to know which nights yet. I'm rubbish, I think I need a personal assistant to plan my life for me... The pressure!

Ah well either way - I will see you there, no doubt!
And thanks for the support! I'm sure it'll be fine - it's just been a wee while since I've done it (aside from my day job, I suppose) so I'm just hoping I'll be organised and in control... Hahaha as if I'm ever THAT!

Hello Lovlies
I will be preforming at the following:
"Showcase with Hoodwink and Samantha Seth" at the Butterfly and Pig in Glasgow on the 14th August
"A Night of Burlseque" at Luna (formally Ego) in Edinburgh on the 23rd August.
Hopfully I will also catch some other perfromances too.
Look forward to seeing you all.

I am going to be performing on the 5th and 6th August at Sideshow at the Underbelly which is situated at George IV Bridge and Cowgate (not sure where that is yet!)
It's a midnight show that runs on into a club night so if people are performing they can always come down after.
Yay for Edinburgh, it's my first time there as a performer... i'm so excited!

You are going to just love it, the Fringe is one of the most exciting experiences anyone can have - as a performer or theatre goer. The atmosphere is electric and you will love the Underbelly, it's a fantastic venue.
Rufus and I will be hanging around the Cabaret Bar in the Underbelly, drinking and entertaining so do come and find us and we shall enjoy a gin.
Sideshow is on our list of events so we'll endeavour to come and see it when you're performing, Emerald.
As well as the 3rd, Rufus and I will be performing again at The Bongo Cabaret on the 19th.
Hi Madison, looking forward to seeing you around.
So excited about the Fringe, hurry up and be August I say!

I love the festival and this will be my last as a local for the forseeable future so I'm really going to treasure it. I've had some of my happiest burlesque related experiences during the festival. No less because it was during the 2006 festival that I started working in partnership with Missy and was really cutting my teeth as a burlesquer after making the transition from bellydancing earlier that year.
1st and 3rd - Sideshow - The Weirdest Show on Earth.
6th and 7th - Bongo Club Cabaret
On the 8th and 9th it's up to Inverness with a bunch of other misfits including my good friends Wild Card Kitty and Leggy Pee for Belladrum Festival - really looking forward to that trip!
10th - Dr. Sketchy's Glasgow Party.
11th - a day off to get stuff done because
12th - moving to London
This will be a very short festival for me, but it will rock.
Hope to see you all there. x
