Glasgow Cabaret Festival 2009
We at Rhymes with Purple Productions are excited and delighted to announce that in July 2009 we will be launching the very first Glasgow Cabaret Festival, scheduled for Sunday 5th - Sunday 12th July 2009.
This festival will involve a mix of cabaret nights, burlesque shows and small theatrical productions that will bring together all the artists and promoters who have been producing unique performance based events that have added to the thriving scene of artists and alternative theatre in our dear green place. The festivities will kick off with a high-profile charity gala featuring highlights from the festival programme and a live swing band.
Spanning across the week in some of Glasgow’s top venues, our programme will not only include homegrown artists and events you know and love but we’ll be working closely with special friends and partners to bring you some of the top performers from the rest of the UK and further afield.
So now you know…stay tuned for all the exciting developments!

I'm already terrified! 10 months away and I've got a play to write, another to direct, 9 Dr Sketchy's to run, a writing competition to direct and produce, at least 50 singing gigs and a wedding (not mine) in that time! On top of that; I'd really like to have a social life!!
What have I got myself in to?! :daft:
