You all beat me to it. It's looking like a marvellous year for the dear green place, especially with three very talented teams behind the organisation of all those events....

The Art Club Cabaret - a sophisticated, high-end show of classic cabaret and burlesque that will be running intermittently until the end of the year. Next show is Friday 6 March

Dr Sketchy Glasgow - the monthly burlesque life drawing class where cabaret meets arts school with lots of gin-soaked mischief. Burlesque stars confirmed right up until summer include Wild Card Kitty, Mia Meow, Anna Fur Laxis and Mysti Vine. Next session is Sunday 29 March.

Rockaburley - probably the best burlesque night club happening in Scotland at the moment. An excellent show of some of the best Burlesque talent in the UK, kicking tunes and of course a fabulous compere Recently relocated to the funky surroundings of The Classic Grand. Next show is Saturday 14 March.

The Glasgow Cabaret Festival - launching for the first time this July this will feature some fantastic shows from London appearing in Scotland for the first time, amazing international performers, gorgeous festival bar and after parties and more exceptional cabaret and burlesque talent than you can shake a stick at! Sunday 5 - Sunday 12 July - watch this space for updates.

And we at RwP have even more tricks up our sleeves for 2009 so surely that's enough to sate you
Awesome. Being stuck down in Ayr, I often feel like I'm out of the loop on whats happening and where...but this is exciting. I knew about Rockaburly, and have plans to go to the Art Club in May ( for it falls on my birth day ), but I didn't know Dr. Sketches was a monthly fixture now and I hadn't even heard of the Cabaret Fest!

    So, in short...awesome! ^_^
