Things are flat out as usual here at RwP HQ as we are galloping ever closer to the launch of the Glasgow Cabaret Festival - the very first event of its kind, unique to Scotland and the biggest celebration of Cabaret Theatre in the UK!

Firstly, we have a deadline looming! Tuesday 21 April at 3pm is the closing date for all copy and images for the Programme. If you are currently confirmed in the core programme or in the fringe programme we need your info - if you don't get it into us by this date and time then it may not make it into the programme.

This is also the deadline for any Fringe applications for involvement in the Cabaret Festival so if you haven't got your application in by the above date then your show should you go ahead with it will not be included under the Glasgow Cabaret Festival banner.

All applications, copy/images and any queries regarding this should be directed to festival@rhymeswithpurple.net

Secondly - we have some special teaser announcements for you concerning the programme.

Our headline show on Saturday 11 July will be a specially written variety show with a quirky format and on an epic scale.

An RwP Production, we proudly present The Missy & Leyla Show at Glasgow's ABC.

Hosted by 2 of Europe’s most glamorous and talented Burlesque Diva's - Missy Malone and Leyla Rose - The Missy & Leyla Show is a brand new kind of cabaret written exclusively for the Cabaret Festival.

The Missy & Leyla Show is a Cabaret Game Show with all the exciting high-camp of your classic prime-time TV game show; exciting prizes, unexpected challenges, audience participation and glamorous guest stars!

Housed in the 1200 strong capacity ABC auditorium this bespoke spectacular will not only star some of the most exceptional talent from the UK and USA (special line-up to be announced) but they will be accompanied by a blistering backing band and chorus of professional dancers.

Tickets will be priced at £10 and will go on sale shortly - details to be announced next week! A credit-crunch busting price for a show of this magnitude we are sure you will agree!

Please keep checking the MySpace, Facebook Group and Website for all the breaking news on the line-up.

More show details to be announced in the coming weeks include details for that San Franciscan power-house Kitten on the Keys and her one-woman show "Does This Piano Make My Ass Look Big", a beautiful burlesque inspired Visual Art exhibition at Art de Caf with a complimentary in-house week of events featuring live-music and cabaret and if that were not enough we will also be announcing a one-off Cabaret Festival Workshop Programme!

Stay tuned for the announcement for line-up of Rockaburley at The Classic Grand and And The Devil May Drag You Under at The Tron Theatre.

Good Golly Miss Molly it just keeps getting better! ....

You two are officially going to be responsible for the over-indulgent nuking of my bank balance. Le sigh.
