The Art Club Cabaret Returns!
After a phenomenal debut night, the Art Club Cabaret returns!
An opportunity for you to drink and be entertained in one of Glasgow's oldest private members clubs - The Glasgow Art Club. This is how cabaret should be: opulent surroundings, canapes from the award winning restaurant and wine from the well stocked cellar.
Next Club - Friday 8th May 2009 - 8pm
Featuring Lucille Burn, Rufus T. Fahrenheit & The Not So Impressive Ben
With special guest stars The Duskettes, Daiquiri Dusk, Miss Hell's Belle, Gorman, Miss Dolly Tartan and the return of Chopper Harley!
TICKETS £15 - AVAILABLE ON THE DOOR OR CLICK HERE
Set in the opulent gallery of one of Glasgow's best kept secrets The Art Club Cabaret is the newest and most stylish addition to the Scottish cabaret scene
The Glasgow Art Club is Glasgow's most established and prestigious private members club, founded in 1867 by William Dennistoun as a place for the artistic elite to convene and debate, it now boasts some high profile members including Billy Connolly and Peter Howson. With its stunning mahogany features, grand gallery, roaring fireplace and grand piano it is a beautiful venue for a quality cabaret show.
The Art Club Cabaret is a theatrical revue of song, comedy sketches, vaudevillian variety and classic burlesque performed by a core group of experienced and talented professionals and special guest acts from all over the UK.
Why not book a pre-show dinner in the restaurant and then enjoy the show and a drink from the Art Club bar which stocks a wide range of beers, spirits and soft drinks including a comprehensive collection of Malt Whiskies, and around forty wines from around the globe.
The dress code is strictly formal; no jeans/trainers/sportswear or "fancy dress". Think; Victoriana, 20's chic, dinner jacket, little black dress. The management reserve the right to refuse entrance.

The Art Club Cabaret is a great show and I'm hoping to make it to this one as well. With a strong cabaret core and a dusting of burlesque, it's a new vibe for the Scottish scene and a great night out in an increadibly sumptuous venue you will not otherwise get to see!

Lucille/Rufus - have you tried checking out your RWP site with Firefox?! Does the top menu work for you?

unfortunately it isn't very compatable with firefox - it works fine in IE and Chrome. It's a glitch with Google Sites, it seems.

Yay! I recommend Art Club Cabaret!
I will try my very best to make it, but I am so poor it's not even funny and trying not to leave the house unless I'm earning money so I won't make any promises!
I might stay at home and cry all night instead. *nods*

You and me both Carrie.... I'll probably be spending an evening learning some really really uninteresting theory for my exams later in May. Utterly depressing. I'm really missing my life, can't WAIT till it's all over and I can get back to normal (especially as the programme for the Subway Festival is out now! What's On :: The Subway Festival 09 )
Oh and I also recommend the Art Club Cabaret. Great night, lovely surroundings, and art too.

I should make it clear that it's pre-sell tickets that are almost gone - there are still plenty of door tickets allocated so do come along and buy your ticket on the door!
See you there!
