Thread: Burlesque In Dumfries !

That's right ! For the first time ever, burlesque will be coming to the land o' Burns, Barrie and Bruce ! As part of the tour by U.S. rockers, Acey Slade, and in association with the Burlace Beauty Leg Show, Lord Holyrude, the Baron of Burlesque and the Libidious Laird of Louche, will be hosting a burlesque battle at the Venue in Dumfries, this Thursday, May 14 ! There's a prize of £1000 to be won and the competition will ultimately be judged by the infamous, Miss Vicky Butterfly !

Featuring, all the way from Carlisle, England, Miss Twinkle Starr, she of Alley Cat Club fame, unveiling her new nom-de-plume, Valeria Volupte, in a Betty Page-esque routine, (sure to whip the Dumfries crowd into a frenzy !) and from Edwin's Burgh (that's Edinburgh, folks !), Miss Sassikat, who will demonstrate just what you might do with a drunken sailor !!

There'll be a few other well-kent faces from the Scottish burlesque scene kicking about, so come along and support the virgin birth of burlesque in Dumfries !
