    Default access to burlesque

Hello, I'm new and hoping this is the right place to post...

Does anyone know if there's a burlesque night or even one-off event at a wheelchair accessible venue in Edinburgh? I've been searching for ages but no luck yet!

Hello there! Sorry I don't know much about the Scottish scene or I'm afraid accesibility up there but I thought I'd better come and say hello and welcome aboard.

I think Kabarett is on next week, possibly Friday in Edinburgh in the Voodoo Rooms, but unfortunately I don't know how accessible it is. Perhaps you could PM the lovely Iolair or Lilly de Lure as they're both based in Edinburgh and I'm sure they'd be glad to help you out with any info. and possibly suggest other venues or perhaps ring the Voodoo Rooms.....I expect they'll have to have the main bar as wheelchair accessible but I don't know about whether where they hold the events will be.....

    Good luck

    Hello and thanks!

I'm afraid the Voodoo Rooms are inaccessible, which is a shame is the venue is quite pretty!

Oh sorry, that's a real shame, just looked at the pics on their website and it does indeed look fab.

Is Glasgow too far from you? because there are some big shows there too......but again I have no idea about accessibility, sorry

If you can make Glasgow then Club Noir's 5th birthday party will be a brilliant show and its at the O2 Arena which I know is accessible for gigs. It's on the 30th of May. Just google Club Noir Glasgow.(can't post urls yet)

    Hope this is some help.

Hiya, is it you I've been speaking to through LJ (as Pusscat)? I have put on one night at Out of the Blue last year and hoping to do another at some point, it works quite well as a venue and is completely accessible. Will keep you posted!

Well, in that case, welcome to MoB! It's a very friendly place, I'm sure you will enjoy it. And I haven't forgotten about you! Edinburgh burlesque is just so rarely accessible....
