The Ministry of Burlesque’s High Tease, produced by Blond Ambition Events, is delighted to join forces with Vegas! for fabulous Fourth of July frolics in Glasgow’s famous Old Fruitmarket. In a marriage made in heaven (or at least a Drive-thu Chapel) all of your favourite burlesque stars and Vegas gangster groovers have combined to present a Night of a Thousand Stars, twinkling brightly under one elegantly-vaulted roof! We double the decadence, elevate the elegance and give you even more bang for your buck, with the sex appeal, musical comedy and bawdy antics of High Tease meeting the glitz, glam and va-va-voom of Vegas!
High Tease, hosted by compere-extraordinaire Dusty Limits, showcases a luminous cast of shooting stars: Jim Devereaux, who captures the hearts of the ladies as Elvis and seduces the sophisticates with his flamboyant Victorian toffs, Missy Malone, Scotland’s very own heady cocktail of 1950s’ bombshell and classic rock chick, pays homage to the Golden Age of American burlesque, Chris Cross defies the laws of physics, Toff and Tales take you out on a subversive limb, Des O’Connor pries your naughty ears open and Kittie Klaw flutters your worries away. High Tease is particularly proud to present the Scottish debut of Persia Portia, protege of Showgirl Superstar Immodesty Blaize, who will bedazzle with feats of balletic grace and flexibility. From superstars to up and comers, High Tease covers all the bases with aces, from our local Battle of Burlesquers who grace the High Tease stage for the first time ever to our very own mover and shaker, Scottish starlet Malady de Winter.
After the High Tease show, dance the night away with Scotland's swingin', award winnin' club Vegas! with vinyl villains Frankie Sumatra, Bugsy Seagull and Dino Martini serving up an intoxicating concoction of luscious lounge, zoot-suited swing, rockin’ R&B, jumpin’ jive, libidinous latin and sanctified soul for the delectation and delight of all you hipsters and hepcats, cool cats and kitsch kittens. Missy Malone will return to the stage and This is Elvis will perform for your delectation and delight, Nikki Nevada and the Vegas Showgirls will garnish this crazy but cool cocktail with their inimitable beauty and grace, the Fabulous Scott Brothers Croupiers will be giving away bountiful free booze at the blackjack and roulette tables in the Stardust Casino whilst the flexible and stylish may win bottles of bubbly in our Limbo Dancing and Best Dressed competitions.
Hope to see you all there!

oooh - I've just e-mailed hubby to see whether he thinks he could manage an evening like this. He's a marine engineer and only owns jeans and t-shirts - but he scrubs up well in proper trousers :-)
If he's up for it - and comes home from Mexico without Swine Flu - we'll be there with bells on.
I might even manage to bring a couple of friends.
So the question is: How dressed up is dressed up?

Very dressed up! :eyebrows:
I know Lilly will be in an evening dress, and I will have to decide between the tux and the smoking jacket!
Really hope you make it over Alix! I'm sure you'll have a blast! Sunday & Gilda put on a hell of an event! :twothumbs:
(Now all I need to do is remember to get our tickets
ops: )
