Thread: performance oppertunity this weekend in glasgow

Just passing on an email i received incase anyone is interested...

Hi there,

Okay this is really short notice, and you have probably already received an email from Sorcha at Dance House about this but I am organising a fundraising belly dancing/burlesque/capoeira show in aid of Guide Dogs for the Blind this Saturday night (23rd May) from 8pm until 10.30pm at The Viper club and disastrous things have happened to some of the performers who had originally agreed to take part and it looks like there will be too much belly dancing and not enough burlesque!! If you, or anyone you know, is free and able to perform that would be fantastic!!

If you could pass this message on to any performers you know, and ask them to contact Yvonne McCombie (07775976197) if they are interested I would be really grateful!

Also, if you know of anyone who is free on Saturday night who be interested in going along to watch, it's at the Viper from 8pm until 10pm. You can buy tickets at the door.

The event has a facebook page 'Dancing for Dogs'.

I'm not a performer but I'll certainly pass it along, and since I literally live next door to the Viper, I'll try to make an appearance! I'm about to go look at the facebook page, but in the unlikely event it's not there, do you know the ticket prices?

What a coincidence... I noticed a poster for this today in Great Western Road and was going to see if anyone on here knew who was doing it!

Can't make it as I'll be performing myself at the Starlight Dinner Cabaret at Sloans. Which reminds me, I need to post a plug for that!

So i'm glad people are seeing the posters - took ages to walk round and hand stuff out.
