Finally getting around to posting details for this now that Cabaret Festival swampiness has released me back into the real world and I have regained the ability to think about other projects.

On a side note; how amazingly spoiled are you lot with this years Fringe offerings of Cabaret - High Tease, Desmorphia, Kitten & The Bongo Club! It's an epic pile of WIN! (Will post Bongo details seperately) Read on for Kitty joy...

Kitten on the Keys is an international cabaret songbird known for her saucy shenanigans and punk burlesque sensibility. This is her one-woman musical that follows the hi-jinks of a dorky suburban girl who is insecure, addicted and socially impaired. Her life changes overnight with the discovery of punk and the rock and roll lifestyle. This hilarious romp will tickle your funnybones and stir your nethers.

Kitten is a little Judy Tenuta and Mae West with a dash of Shirley Temple optimism! She writes all her own material and plays it on piano, accordion and ukulele. Kitten’s three favourite female role models are Alice Cooper, Liberace and Freddie Mercury.

Kitten has been seen on HBO, E!, IFC, Queer TV, MTV and Bravo. She has toured with the legendary The Damned, rocked out in bands with Courtney Love, LA Grunge Goddess Jennifer Finch from L7 and Babes In Toyland’s punk princess Kat Bjellend. She embodies the spirit and style of those days of punk decadence gone by and this is her hilarious and often poignant story.

This critically acclaimed one woman show will be making its European premier at The Bongo Club for this years Edinburgh Fringe Festival after receiving rave reviews from its opening in Kitten’s home town of San Francisco early this year.

Running from the 7th until the 29th August (excluding Mondays) at 19.20pm, £8.00(£6.00).

This show is being produced by award-winning Theatre Company, Rhymes with Purple Productions and will also feature some very special guest appearances chosen by Kitten.
