If you're free in Glasgow this Sunday midday, please come along to help create a new Guinness World Record and be part of the world's biggest can-can! We're hoping for thousands of attendess, all ages and abilities. I'll be leading it, but promise to keep the kicks low, and no jump splits! Everyone welcome, fun for all the family, free entry, plus the Zutons are playing and there's free Irn-Bru and goodies for all. Info on the website which is IRN BRU - Can Clan

Oh, and then of course go on to Blitz Ballroom in Edinburgh afterwards - plenty of time for both!

Glasgow Green is the place to be on Sunday 13th September as we go for a humdinger of Homecoming celebrations.

We’re putting on a free event where we will be kicking our way into the Guinness Book of World Records as we go for the biggest ever cancan.

If this isn't enough, we will also have one of the coolest bands around to help us celebrate this PHENOMENAL event.

I will, of course, do my best to drag Suzuki Sparks along but I will admit that it is not the wisest activity for her back. Love the sound of the whole thing and am certainly willing to chip in.

This sounds like a really interesting event - i'll definitely try to make it along if I can...

Yay!! I've been reliably informed that the can-can will really just be a very slow knee-kick (the famous chorus we all know and love), as low as you like. And after can-canning all over Glasgow for the last three days to help promote the event, I am not planning any kicks over 45 degrees! Ever again! We've can-canned to thousands of World Cup football fans, in the window of Fraser's department store, done a private street show for Chris Moyles (who wasn't impressed!) and flash-mobbed at Central Station before getting told off by station staff!

Kittie, the bands are the Zutons and Pearl & the Puppets.
