Thread: Burlesque in Florida

Hello all!

I'm looking for burlesque/pinup fans in central Florida - any one in here who can give me information on the local scene? Looking for shows to attend and new friends to meet! Thanks!

I'm actually searching for the same thing. it's my birthday in March and I'd love to see a burlesque performance in orlando... but I haven't had much luck finding anything

There is Hellcat Burlesque in Tampa, Glamor Vixens in St. Pete. but if you are looking for central Florida shows you might want to check out "Femmes De Freak" at a community theatre in ocala, called Insomniac Theatre.
i Debuted there and we have a show on the 4th and 5th of this month, we also do rhps shadow cast in may!

But of course there's burlesque in Orlando/the Central Florida area! I posted a great big reply telling you all about my troupe and our fabulous upcoming shows, but the forum won't let me post links until I've been a member a bit longer. I guess that just means you'll have to check out Skill Focus: Burlesque on Facebook and find out for yourselves. We have info on upcoming shows along with pictures and videos from the previous ones. Did I mention we are Orlando's only nerdy burlesque troupe? That's right, hot nerd girls performing nerd-themed classic-style burlesque. Also for neo-burlesque fans of the non-geeky persuasion, check out my friends with Peek-A-Boo Burlesque performing (some but not all) Wednesday nights at Stardust Lounge downtown.

That's right, I have also heard *of* them, but I haven't heard about them having regular shows. I am curious to see them perform one of these days.

Super late post but there is a dance troupe in Lakeland called Moxie Le Femme- they do some burlesque styled dances. Black Diamond in Sarasota is amazing. Did someone mention Flirtini in Orlando- Sophie LaMore is a doll. And then I perform everywhere(and with Moxie), in fact I'll be performing at the Orlando Baby Grands show with Lady Mekaella!
