Thread: New york Burlesque clubs and nights...

Hello there,

Anyone got any info on Burlesque nights over in NEW YORK?

I'm hopefully there over christmas, new year and my birthday so would love to catch a show and see how the kids over the pond are doing it!

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Sadly the Slipper Room is closed till next year as they are having a complete re fit. I heard last night James the owner is looking for other venues to use for the various shows. If you check out Jo Weldon's blog she should be able to help you out. Jo is the headmistress of New york school of burlesque and a wonderful lady.
Also keep your eye on Liverpool as you will get the chance to see Jo Weldon, Julie Atlas Muz and Dirty Martini all performing here this year.

I agree with Diva Hollywood, but also look for any shows Pinchbottom Burlesque is doing while you're in town. They are very entertaining, but don't have a specific regular show so I'm not sure what their schedule is right now.

Brooklyn Ed's NY Burlesque Calendar

It is updated about once a week and lists shows for the next few weeks (and indicates if shows are weekly or monthly so you can plan ahead).
