Thread: NYBF 2009-Newest update-you still have time...

Hi...for those who may have been wondering, I should let you know that the applications from the e-mails you have sent will go out sometime in May.

Why so late? And why so early giving the NYBF notice?

Very simple, the UK is a growing force in the burlesque world. And getting the NYBF notice out by May, I fear may not give performers enough time to prepare their acts or raise funds to travel to our great city.

This is why I needed to be an early bird about things. So now, for those who have applied, that you have a reasonable timetable to create and plan.

For those who are still thinking about it...you will have I would say, about to the third week in May before the NYBF process begins.

Coming to New York will be worth the effort if you are selected.

And bravo to those who have ideas of where to stay and get discount flights. Now you have more of an idea to put your plans in motion!!!

See you in New York!!!

The dates have now been set for the big NYBF weekend.
Thursday, October 1st through Sunday, October 4th.

Thanks for the update! I'm sure we're all looking forward to May when the applications come out!

so i'm confused....

what do we do? do we have to email to get an application or do the applications just come out for everyone and then we apply?

I must admit, I'm confused too. I've signed up for the email updates, but have received nothing. Should I have an application form by now? x

I received my first email update today, although it went into my spam folder so they may be lurking in there.

Again, as I stated in earlier posts, because of the world economy, I wanted to give everyone a chance to prepare their show and set up their funds to get to New York in as much time for you as possible.
