Bluestocking Lounge's Vive La France - A Night of French-themed Burlesque!
Start Time:
Thursday, 22 July 2010 at 19:30
End Time:
Friday, 23 July 2010 at 00:00
Location:
The Monkey Cafe, Castle Street Swansea
With our French cousins celebrating Bastille Day in July we thought we'd offer a very special Bas Bleu (that's Bluestocking!) burlesque tribute to all things French...
And what better way to celebrate than with some of the UK's best artistes performing a selection of French fancies?
Topping the bill is London's Banbury Cross, a true vintage beauty, oozing the sex appeal and glamour of Hollywood’s Golden age. Soon to be making her international debut at the Cannes Film Festival, Banbury Cross will be performing her Marie Antoinette routine and the very special Le Gaîtée Parisienne - a real show-stopping act, complete with Eiffel Tower headress! This is where the HTML for banburycross.com lives
Lincolnshire lass Snappy O'Shea will be performing her personal tribute to one of France's most famous intoxicants - Absinthe - in her La Fee Vert routine. You really can't miss this dazzling and decadent turn-of-the-century tribute to the infamous bohemian tipple, featuring absinthe and sparkles aplenty, plus a giant Absinthe bottle and glitter-encrusted spoon as Snappy embodies the playful sensuality of ‘the green fairy.’
